5 Steps to build community during COVID

Even in the best of times, service-learning can pose numerous challenges. Learn 5 steps to build community during COVID. When COVID and an attempted governmental coup is added to the mix, educators need to really step up their game. Some of the ways we found to continue learning during this crisis was focusing first on community building, anchoring the partnership, and providing mentors as additional support. We explore each of these foundational steps in this paper providing concrete steps and examples to build a supportive community that can learn in the midst of trauma.
